Beni Giles is a London-based composer and record producer. He has recently co-written and produced the debut album for Otzeki, and co-produced the new James album alongside multi-award winning producer, Charlie Andrew. Other artists he has worked with include Marcus Foster, Jones and Oscar Jerome.

As a composer, his works have been commissioned and performed by the likes of CHROMA Ensemble, Tre Voci Cello Ensemble, Kit Downes & Tom Challenger, National Portrait Gallery, Huw Watkins, Vickers Bovey Duo and European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), amongst others. More recently, he contributed a movement to a collaborative Concerto for drum machine and orchestra, commissioned by Nonclassical for Rise of The Machines #2 (alongside Josephine Stephenson, Laurence Osborn, Max De Wardener and Jo Thomas) which premiered at Village Underground, London.

Addelam, (a collaborative project with cellist, Colin Alexander), is due for release later this year. The music was premiered in February at Union Chapel as part of the Organ Reframed festival (listen here).

Beni is associate composer for Nonclassical, with whom he has worked extensively over the years. Alongside Gabriel Prokofiev, he has reworked and remixed the music of Mozart, Webern and Martinu amongst others. These works have received performances with orchestras and ensembles across Europe.

Beni studied composition with composer, Giles Swayne, until he went to the Royal Academy of Music to do a Master's course in composition under Dr Philip Cashian. He has been co-Composer-in-residence at Espacio Cultural El Tanque de Santa Cruz in Tenerife, a Britten-Pears Young Artist and a visiting tutor at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, as well as being shortlisted for the Britten Sinfonia OPUS 2015 award.

He can also be found working under his well established moniker, Adhelm, available here.
